It was critical that both the brand name and logo communicate the store image and mission to my customers. I chose “Heartfelt Days” so that even hearing the store’s name would trigger a strong feeling and desire to act within someone. Using Photoshop, I designed a logo that would both convey that sentiment and that of wanderlust. Part of our strategy to increase buzz for Dirty Motel’s performance was for us, the marketing team, and the band to perform an “instagram takeover” of the venue’s social media. A few days leading up to the concert, the band and my team began posting Dirty Motel’s promo video, pictures, and encouraged engagement from their followers. Finally. The day of Sunset Live! My team and I took over Sunset Live’s Instagram page and posted stories of the band’s arrival, how they were enjoying the concert, and their journey up until it was their time to rock on stage. Using this tactic increased Dirty Motel’s reach in the Rio Grande Valley and the potential growth for new followers/fans. It also allowed their fans to engage with the band and feel as though they were backstage with them on their Sunset Live Concert, providing a sense of belonging and authenticity.
